DICTIONARY OF THE YEAR 2004
Dictionary of the Year is an international competition and promotional event, organised this year for the 11th time by the Union of Interpreters and Translators. It aims to present an overview of the annual dictionary and encyclopedic production in the Czech Republic,Slovak Republic, and other countries, and to educate the audience about the lexicographical literature market. The expert jury consists of representatives of all Czech and Slovak professional translators’ and interpreters’ organisations, the Association of Czech Booksellers and Publishers, and individual publishers. The jury will award the main prize – the Dictionary of the Year –along with awards for translation dictionary, one-language dictionary, electronic dictionary, and more.

THE CELTIC LUGHNASADH ARTISTIC PROJECT IN BOHEMIA
Paintings by members of the “Lugh” association and its guests created for the long-term project “Lughnasadh” (held annually since 1997 as part of the celebrations of the Celtic feast), based on a given topic from the Celtic mythology. The exhibition’s curator is Josef Ryzec. The exhibition will open May 6 at 11 a.m., featuring the Celtic band Dick O’Brass. (Right Wing – Balcony)
